Gino began performing at an early age. Born in St. Louis Missouri, she was surrounded by the blues, gospel and musical theater. While attending Catholic school and Christian College Gino quickly became a lead vocalist and actress, giving forth her love of performing, embracing each person with her passion and power.
Gino went on to establish herself on stage with principle roles in The Wiz, Fiddler on the Roof, Oklahoma and the production of For Colored Girls Only.
Gino moved to Los Angeles in the late 1980s where she began singing at the Roxy, Troubadour, The Whiskey, Cinegrill, Luna Park and many other prestigious venues. She toured Canada, Chicago, Detroit and Las Vegas with her band, the Backdoor Gang.
Upon her return, Gino began working in the impersonation world. Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, Ella Fitzgerald and Queen Latifah (Big Mama) are all part of her incredible line up; she calls her show "The Divas of Song." Touring throughout the United States and Europe, Gino was proud to take the "Diva Show" on tour to our U.S. troops over seas. She has worked with many non-profit organizations: Skidrow Mission, St. Clare’s Home, Aids Foundation and the American Heart Association just to mention a few.
“My style and passion embraces each diva bringing forth the spirit and imagination of each character.” For your next celebration, let the “Divas of Song” create excitement, joy and fun for you and your guests.
Be sure to keep your ear open for Gino’s new CD, “Possible” coming this holiday season at www.ginosings.com. “My mission is to Lift & Shift the world through song.”
